Japanese Film Festival Returns to An Táin Arts Centre this April

Cinephiles from Louth are in for a treat this April with the launch on Friday 18 April, of the Japanese Film Festival 2025 at An Táin Arts Centre.

Organisers say they are thrilled to collaborate once again with the Embassy of Japan in Ireland and access>CINEMA to present a carefully chosen selection of outstanding Japanese films, both contemporary and beloved classics, right here in Dundalk.

"This marks our 9th year of presenting as part of the Japanese Film Festival. It has become one of the pillars of our film programme, and the two films that we have chosen will provide film fans with a rare opportunity to immerse themselves in the artistry and innovation of Japanese filmmaking,” said Paul Hayes, Director at An Táin Arts Centre.

This year's festival features two special screenings: City Hunter: Angel Dust showing at 6pm and Tekkonkinkreet which will show at 8pm.

Tickets are €7 each (plus a €1.50 booking fee), or enjoy both films for just €12. Purchase at box office or on 042 9332332.
