The current Carlingford to Omeath Greenway
Two public meetings have been organised by local councillors in North Louth to discuss the proposed Dundalk Bay to Carlingford Greenway.
The events will be hosted by the Cooley/Peninsula Community Alert group.
Monday 8th July to discuss Section A & B of the proposed Greenway in St Patrick's GFC Lordship.
Tuesday 9th July to discuss Section C of the proposed Greenway in Cooley Kickhams GFC, Monksland, Carlingford .
The submission's deadline for the public consultation is Friday 2nd August. Both meetings start at 8pm.
The study area for the proposed greenway project encompasses the Regional Centre of Dundalk and the coastal town of Carlingford, along with the interconnecting road network.
The R173 Regional Road is the main route connecting Dundalk with Carlingford.
The R173, along with other regional and local roads in the study area have no provision for pedestrians and cyclists.
