Dundalk median houses price stood at €260k in January

Forty two of the houses sold in Dundalk were existing builds while five were new homes. 

The median house price for houses sold with the Dundalk Eircode A91 in January 2024 was €260,000, according to figures released by the CSO (Central Statistics Office) on today.

The figure is an increase of €10,000 (4%) on the last report from October 2023 which showed the median price was €250,000

Of the 47 houses sold in Dundalk in October, 6 were to first time buyer owner-occupiers; 23 to former owner-occupiers and 18 were to non occupiers.

Forty two of these houses were existing builds while five were new homes. 

The median price of the new houses sold was €335,000 and the median price of existing houses sold in January was €235,000.

In Drogheda, the median price of residential properties sold in A92: Drogheda in January 2024, was €330,000.

Fifty one of the houses sold were new houses and 46 were existing. The median price for the new houses sold was €375,000, while for existing houses it was €281,500.

Nationally, the Residential Property Price Index (RPPI) increased by 5.4% in the 12 months to January 2024, with prices in Dublin rising by 4.5% and prices outside Dublin up by 6.1%.

In January 2024, 3,621 dwelling purchases by households at market prices were filed with the Revenue Commissioners, down by 1.5% when compared with the 3,675 purchases in January 2023.

The median price of a dwelling purchased in the 12 months to January 2024 was €330,000.

The lowest median price for a dwelling in the 12 months to January 2024 was €165,000 in Leitrim, while the highest median price was €620,000 in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown.
