Uninsured learner truck driver faces court as lorry is seized

A learner driver who was stopped by gardaí now faces court due to driving a lorry with a dangerously defective trailer.

Gardaí stopped a truck driver in Drogheda, Co Louth who was an unaccompanied learner with no L-plates on the lorry. 

As well as this, there was no tax, the driver was uninsured and the vehicle's trailer was found to be dangerously defective. 

The lorry was seized and court is to follow, according to gardaí.
