Over 4,000 homes in county Louth are without power this Monday morning after Storm Isha battered the country.
ESB crews are currently working to restore power to 4,119 homes around the county that are without power since Sunday evening.
Elsewhere, Louth County Council are working to clean up the aftermath of Storm Isha.
Council crews have been responding to a number of reports of trees down throughout the county, particularly in South Louth, since Sunday night.
The council have also issued an alert that the Collon Road is completely blocked by a fallen tree this Monday morning, January 22.
"Council crews and Louth County Fire & Rescue responding to an incident on the Collon Road, north of Drummond Tower, where a fallen tree has completely blocked the road. Please drive with care and approach area with caution," they said on social media.
According to the Powercheck website, ESB crews are working to restore power to all 4,119 homes by 6pm Monday night.
"Our technicians are on the ground since first light, and we've enlisted additional support to aid restoration efforts," the state electricity provider said in a statement on X(formerly Twitter).
