The Department of Education has confirmed that as of the end of April, 442 Ukrainian pupils are enrolled in schools across Louth.
Out of that figure, 267 of these pupils are attending primary schools while 175 pupils have enrolled in post-primary schools.
The figure represents a slight decrease on the 444 Ukrainian pupils enrolled in schools across Louth at the end of March.
Nationally, the Department of Education has confirmed that 15,458 Ukrainian pupils are currently enrolled in Irish schools
Out of that figure, 9,987 of these pupils had been accommodated in primary schools while 5,471 pupils had enrolled in post-primary schools.
There is an enrolment rate of 89% among Ukrainian children aged between five and18, according to the Department of Education.
To assist with the transition of Ukrainian students and their families into Irish schools Regional Education and Language Teams (REALT) continue to operate, hosted by the 16 regional education and training boards around Ireland and staffed by regionally-based education support personnel.
