AT a recent meeting of Ardee Traders and Business Asssociation a motion of sincere thanks was extended to all those who helped at recent cycle against suicide.
Ardee welcomed the Cycle Against Suicide organised by Jim Breen through RTE 2FM’s Colm Hayes Show on Sunday 5 May.
This cycle gathered momentum as it wound it’s way around Ireland starting in Bray on 22 April.
Seven hundred cyclists left Ardee for Skerries. Many cyclists signed up for this leg at Ardee Community School.
This event saw Ardee Traders, Ardee Commuinty School and Ardee Cycle Club with the help and support of many others come together to host this event and refresh the cyclists.
Memorable speeches about their younger years, dealing with their feelings, anxiety and fears were given by Niall “Bressie” Breslin, Rozanna Purcell, Jim Breen of ‘Secret Millionaire’ and Aoibheann McCaul, better known as Caoimhe Dillon on ‘Fair City’.
Before the cycle arrived many people had been busy refreshments from early morning. Sincere thanks to one and all;
