Minor decrease in homeless figures in Louth in February

February Homeless Report

150 people reported as homeless in Louth in February according to the Dept of Housing's February Homeless Report, released this evening. This is down from 156 in January, when Louth had seen a massive 25% increase in the numbers accessing local authority managed emergency accommodation.

Similar to last month, the only counties in Ireland which reported higher numbers are Dublin, Limerick, Cork, and Galway. Kildare also reported 150 homeless adults.

The Homelessness Report, places Louth in the North East region along with Monaghan and Cavan.

Monaghan recorded six people as homeless, up from three the previous month, and Cavan recorded five - up from three in January.

20 families presented as homeless in the North East in February, down from 25 in January.
