Armed Response Unit part of search of premises in Dundalk

Gardaí cut the metal shutters to access the building

The Garda Armed Response Unit were present at the search of a commercial premises on Church Street in Dundalk this morning.

According to eye witnesses who spoke to the Democrat, gardaí were at the premises at around 8.30 this morning. It is understood they cut open the metal shutters at the front of the building to access the premises.

The ARU have since left the scene. 

The Democrat contacted gardaí in Dundalk to find out more, but no one was available for comment.
