Second incident of diesel sludge dumping in north Louth discovered
Three cubes of diesel sludge have been discovered in north Louth this morning, the second dumping of the pollutant in the area over the past two days.
Today's discovery was made by Sinn Féin councillor Antóin Watters.
Posting to Twitter this morning, Cllr Watters said that the IBCs (intermediate bulk containers) were dumped at Carrickarnon at the old customs post.
Yesterday, three cubes of diesel sludge were discovered dumped at Roskeagh, Kilcurry/Captains Road.
According to Cllr Watters, Louth County Council have been informed of the incident.
