Acting Garda Commissioner Dónall Ó Cualáin was in Dundalk today where he met with representatives of US Homeland Security Investigations.
The investigators, led by Acting Deputy Executive Associate Director Ms. Alysa D. Erichs, met with Ó Cualáin at Dundalk Garda Station. They were present at Dundalk District Court on Sunday night as 27-year-old Aaron Brady was charged with the murder of Detective Garda Adrian Donohoe.
In a statement today, An Garda Siochana said, 'The investigation into the murder of Detective Garda Adrian Donohoe continues at Dundalk Garda Station. The investigation into Adrian’s murder has continued at pace, both locally and internationally.'
'Homeland Security Investigations has provided invaluable assistance to An Garda Síochána during the investigation into the murder of Detective Garda Adrian Donohoe.
'An Garda Síochána acknowledges and is grateful for the contribution made by members of the public throughout the last five years of the investigation. The investigation continues and we again appeal to the public for their assistance in the investigation,' it continued.
