Bus Eireann are not running services in Louth today.
Bus Eireann have confirmed services in Dundalk and across Louth are not running today - after Met Éireann issued a Status Red weather warning early this morning.
CIE are informing customers via their Twitter account that services are not running in areas affected by the Status Red warning - they are Louth, Meath, Dublin, Kildare and Wicklow.
However, they have updated that "sporadic services" are running of the following routes: 100 Dublin – Drogheda, 100X Dundalk – Dublin, 126 Newbridge – Dublin and 133 Wicklow – Dublin. No Expressway services from Dublin are operating.
The Status Red, due to heavy snowfall accumulated overnight as the first wave of Storm Emma hit the east coast, will be in place from 5am today (Wednesday) until 12pm (Thursday). If customers are unsure about travel arrangements, they are asked to check with the Bus Eireann website - http://www.buseireann.ie/.
Matthews Coaches have already this morning announced they have cancelled all services in light of the Status Red.
