Matthews Coaches cancels all services

Matthews Coaches have suspended all commuter services today. 

This comes in light of Met Éireann issuing a Status Red weather warning for Louth, Meath, Dublin, Kildare and Wicklow this morning after heavier than expected snowfall overnight. 

The company have decided to take it's entire fleet off the road today, in the interests of passenger safety. 

"Due to extreme weather conditions and in the interest of passenger safety, Matthews.ie have suspended all routes until further notice. We will be updating our passengers through our Facebook page," it wrote in a statement this morning. 

Matthews Coaches run a number of daily services between Dundalk and Dublin, also serving Drogheda, Bettystown and Laytown. 

For commuters in Ardee, Collins Coaches have suspended all services to Dublin in light of the severe weather.
