Dundalk Men’s Shed has received a very kind donation of €1,000 from Grennan’s Pharmacy Dublin Street Dundalk.

Margaret Grennan, MPSI, made the presentation last week and thanked the shed for the service it provides to the community.

Gene Yore, chairman Dundalk Men’s Shed, thanked Margaret, on behalf of the members, for the kind donation and the medicare work kit which Margaret also gave to the shed.

He said the shed is a community-based organisation where people can work and socialise in a friendly and inclusive environment and health and safety is always a priority.

The shed also supports local groups and fundraisers. Just before Christmas it made a donation to the Maria Goretti Children’s Respite and on Saturday last members acted as stewards at the Fitzers 5K Fun Run in aid of the Maria Goretti respite and RehabCare centres.

This Thursday the shed’s choir will entertain the residents at St Oliver Plunkett Community Unit Dundalk.

Dundalk Men's Shed is open Monday - Friday from 9 am to 2 pm. For more information call 042 9327652 or email shedsseatown@gmail.com
