Musical ensemble The Irish Guitar Quartet set for Dundalk show
Top musical ensemble The Irish Guitar Quartet are playing in An Táin Arts Centre, Dundalk on Saturday February 10th at 8pm.
Caoilfhionn Ní Choileain, Colin McLean, David Keating and Jerry Creedon are well-respected solo guitarists who have played on stages all around the world. The Guitar Quartet’s members combine their individual strengths to create “an exciting, dynamic and engaging ensemble.”
Their show in Dundalk promises to combine the best of Latin, Far East, Folk and American classics, giving the audience a global music experience.
Tickets cost €15, or €12 for senior citizens and students. They can be purchased from the box office in An Táin or online.
The Irish Guitar Quartet’s repertoire includes J.S. Bach’s Organ Fugue in G minor BWV 578, Andrew York’s Quiccan, Spin, Lotus Eaters, Leo Brouwer’s Cuban Landscape with Rain, Matthew Dunne’s Cafezinho, David Pritchard’s Stairs, Stephen Goss’ Gnossienes, Maximo Diego Pujol’s Grises y Soles, Clarice Assad’s Bluezilian, Georges Bizet’s Carmen Suite, and LAGQ’s Pachelbel’s “Loose” Canon.
