Gardai are continuing to deal with a crash this morning in the left lane of the M1 southbound between J16 Dundalk South and J15 Castlebellingham, near the Applegreen service station.
A serious accident occurred earlier, at about 4am, when a truck hit another vehicle.
It is believed the driver of the truck was seriously injured.
Motorists are advised to exercise caution is in the area
