A team of four students from Coláiste Chú Chulainn claimed the top prize in the finals of the Gael Linn Irish-language quiz that took place in Armagh last week.
The team of Katerina McCabe, Hannah Reilly, Gemma O’Reilly and John Campbell took on schools from around the country and some local competition in the form of Marist College, De la Salle College and Coláiste Lú.
The table quiz competition is run by Gael Linn and after rounds of regional qualifiers, teams compete in a quiz with all of the questions in Irish. Students answered questions on general knowledge, sport, culture and politics.
Coláiste Chú Chulainn finished in first spot edging out Gaelcoláiste Dhoire from Derry and Coláiste Oiriall from Monaghan for the top prize.
