De La Salle's brightest return for special event

On Friday 9 September 2016, 20 of De La Salle’s finest Leaving Cert students were invited back to their alma mater for a celebratory get together.

An impressive sixteen students achieved over 500 points in the 2016 Leaving Certificate. The delighted high achievers chatted enthusiastically with their teachers about their new University courses over lunch.

Present were Jack Sadlier, Brian Kilkenny, Sean O' Hare, Ronan O' Shea, Sean and Oisin Murray, Fintan Vaughan, Gerard Garland, Glynn Ladley, James and Colin Campbell, Ryan Doyle, Donal O' Kane, Cian Murphy, Sean O' Hanlon, Brendan Shiels and Shane Tuite. Missing were Catherine Mc Mahon, Fiach Murphy and Christian Clarke.

Great success in the Leaving Cert has led to these students to a wide variety of courses, such as medicine, theoretical physics, engineering, architecture, sports science and health, athletic therapy and training, biological and biomedical science, agricultural science, law, primary teaching and arts in the country's top universities.

Four of the students will study Global Business with a language in DCU.

Among the group were two sets of twins - Oisin and Sean Murray and Colin and James Campbell.
