Katie-George Dunlevy and Dundalk's Eve McCrystal have won the B Tandem in Rio this evening.
The pair came home in a time of 38:59 seconds to land the gold medal and wipe away the pain of missing out on a medal in previous races earlier in the games.
Japan and Great Britain took silver and bronze respectively, with the Japanese pair a full 33:70 behind the Irish gold medalists.
