Dundalk Chamber of Commerce President, Una McGoey, has said that the decision by SalesSense International, now known as Uniquely, to expand in Dundalk “not only reflects the town's attractiveness for business investment but also underscores our community's resilience and potential for growth.”
Ms McGoey made the comments to the Dundalk Democrat, following two notable milestone announcements last Friday by the sales and service outsourcing partner when it confirmed, “a significant investment in the North-East region and M1 Corridor – within the next 18 months”, and plans to create over 100 new job opportunities.
It also confirmed that, effective immediately, as part of a strategic rebranding initiative and expansion, the company will operate under its new name, Uniquely.
The company in its announcement, said that its “new redefined corporate identity has been specially tailored to meet the challenges and opportunities of tomorrow”.
“This expansion”, it went on to say, “is not just a testament to Uniquely’s commitment to the local economy but also an indication of the vibrant opportunities that exist in this dynamic region of Ireland.
“In addition, the company hopes to expand its footprint even further in the coming years, both in Ireland and abroad.”
At the announcement on Friday, Gerard Teahon, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Uniquely said:
“Today is an exceptionally proud day for all of us in Uniquely. As a result of our unwavering focus on operational excellence, clients are increasingly coming to us to help them with their development and growth objectives and this significant investment of over 100 new job opportunities is in response to increased demand for our services across all our business areas.
“At Uniquely, our vision is to create extraordinary experiences, that push the possibilities of careers, businesses and our category. We collaborate with leading banks in Financial Services on innovative care solutions, we are pioneering sustainable strategies in Utilities, and we are transforming communications sales and support in the Telecoms sector.
“Across all these domains, our central mission is to elevate standards in customer support and engagement, ensuring exceptional care is woven into the fabric of every sector we touch.
“In addition, people are at the heart of everything we do at Uniquely including these new employment opportunities, which are a welcome investment for our sector, the local economy and the North-East region, as well as contributing to the sustained reputation of the M1 Corridor as an international hub for businesses.”
Dundalk Chamber of Commerce said that it applauds the company's “commitment to corporate social responsibility and its proactive engagement with the local community.

Its expertise, “rooted in knowledge and practical experience, spans service solutions in sectors such as Energy, Financial Services, Medical Technology, Telecoms, Media, and Retail”.

Michael Carey, Chairman of Enterprise Ireland, who was also present on Friday said that, “today’s expansion announcement is testament to the innovative offering, exceptional talent and cutting-edge services that Uniquely provides to their global customer base.
“It comes as a great boost for Dundalk as well as the wider North-East region and paves the way for this innovative company to significantly scale its business globally.”
The announcement from Uniquely follows on from the recent announcement by Anord Mardix, of a €27 million investment to expand its operations in Dundalk, which is expected to double Anord Mardix's footprint in the region and create 200 new job opportunities.
Congratulating Anord Mardix on the announcement, Dundalk Chamber President, Una McGoey, said that “this investment demonstrates the town's appeal for global industry leaders, and we are thrilled to witness the positive impact it will have on our local workforce and economy.”
Dundalk Chamber of Commerce says that Anord Mardix has a strong history of innovation and excellence in providing critical power solutions worldwide.
It adds that “the company's commitment to corporate social responsibility and community engagement aligns seamlessly with Dundalk Chamber's mission to foster economic development and collaboration within the region of the M1 Corridor.”
