A man who "said he didn't have to give f*** all" when gardaí asked him for his details following a public order incident, was given a two month suspended sentence at Dundalk district court last week.
Clive Donegan (26) of Hallidays Mill, Quay Street, Dundalk was charged with failing to give his name and address, being intoxicated in a public place and using threatening, abusive or insulting behaviour or words at Mountain View, Point Road, Dundalk on March 12th last.
The court heard the defendant, who had 22 previous convictions, had been acting aggressively towards members of the public and was standing in front of traffic.
The Defence solicitor said his client had little recollection of what happened.
Judge Eirinn McKiernan imposed a two month sentence which was suspended on the defendant entering a bond to be of good behaviour for 12 months.
