Lipsync battle in aid of SOSAD Dundalk makes a welcome return
What is being described as “The Greatest Show on Earth” the eagerly awaited renewal of the Lipsync Battle in Aid of SOSAD Dundalk returns after a 3-year hiatus on Saturday 7 October at the Clan Na Gael Hall in Ard Easmuinn, starting at 8pm sharp.
Once again the event is generously sponsored by The Magic Hill Brewery, Jenkinstown. Majella Watters, event organiser said that “such has been the demand for tickets we have had to move to a larger venue to accommodate what is shaping up to be an unmissable night of music and craic”
First held in 2016, and unfortunately halted due to the Covid pandemic, the organisers promise that it returns with a bang, and that competition is sure to be fierce.
2016 winner Paul Kinahan vows to “wrestle” the belt of reigning champion Brian Dunne, who lifted the title the last time it was held in 2019. As grudge matches go, the gloves are off for this one!
Sosad Dundalk Spokesperson Gerry Duffy said: “We are delighted to see such an important event in our fundraising calender return.
“In the four years that it was held before Covid, it raised over €13,000 for our cause which is so appreciated by all of us at SOSAD”
Tickets are still on sale priced at €10 from McAteer’s the Food House, The Clan Na Gael Club or from the Facebook page. “Lip-sync Battle in aid of Sosad, Dundalk”
If you are brave enough to have a go yourself, there are a few spots left for performers on the night. Please contact keatingmajella@gmail.com
As nights that you do not want to miss go, this one tops the lot.
