An Táin's Book Club takes place this month in The Townhouse Restaurant

Austin Duffy the author of The Night Interns will join the book club for a Q&A

An Táin Arts Centre’s book club continues to grow with this month's book club meetings in The Townhouse Bar & Restaurant at 8pm on Thursday 27th July where members will discuss Austin Duffy’s book The Night Interns and get to meet author Austin Duffy.

The Night Interns gives the account of three young surgical interns working the hospital night shift. They are unsure about their roles, their place in the world, and the patients in their care.

They must learn to navigate all of this, facing off against their uncertainties, if they are to survive the night.

The book club members are in for a treat as Austin Duffy will join the book club on the night for a Q&A.

This is the second title the book club has read by Duffy and his debut novel Ten Days was voted ‘An Táin Arts Centre’s Book of the Year 2021’.

Mary Claire Cowley, Audience Development Manager at An Táin Arts Centre says “We are thrilled that the book club is going from strength to strength.

"I’d really encourage anyone who enjoys reading and chatting about books to join up, especially for the July book club where we will be joined by Author Austin Duffy for a Q&A.”

This book club is aimed at adults, is free to attend but registration is required to participate. Members are encouraged to contact their local library, to obtain a copy of the book, or contact Roe River books.

Visit www.antain.ie to register and become a member of the book club.
