GLYDE RANGERS 3-18 NA PIARSAIGH BLACKROCK 1-4
Glyde Rangers have bounced back from two losses in a row to comprehensively defeat Na Piarsaigh Blackrock in Tallanstown. The Dundalk side won the reverse fixture earlier in the season.
Brian Duffy amounted for seven points and that alone was enough to propel Rangers above their opponents into third in the table.
Despite there being only four points in it at the break, 0-10 to 1-3, Rangers took over in the second half. Revenge came in that period, Jack McKeever with a brace and Ciaraín Sheridan all found the net after Ciaran Murphy’s opening goal for the losers.
Glyde will now set their sights on hunting down those above them.

OLIVER PLUNKETTS 1-12 WOLFE TONES 0-10
Oliver Plunketts once again prevailed over fellow Drogheda side Wolfe Tones at home in Mell at the top half of Division 3A.
A settled side, unbeaten and full of confidence, the Plunketts demotion is going swimmingly so far this season. With that winning habit well established Adam Lambe struck the tight affair’s crucial only goal in the first half.
With the Tones trailing 1-5 to 0-4 at the interval, that breakthrough would ultimately be the difference on the night. Niall Smith and Garrett Cooney tried in vain, but the form of table topping pair Cian Brady and Sean Callaghan up front would be too much on the night for the plucky visitors.

Naomh Fionnbarra were comprehensively beaten in Division 3A by Stabannon Parnells at John Markey Park on Friday evening.
A soft goal conceded by the ‘Barrs after a dropped ball in the square, gave the Stabannon poacher Robbie Callaghan the opportunity for his side to edge the even first half, 1-8 to 0-9 on the scoreboard.
In the second half Stabannon pulled away as Louth panelist Sean Reynolds entered the fray and injuries took their toll on the Togher men, who still fought to the end through Hugh Osbourne’s frees.
But they lacked the penetration in the forwards to create any clear cut goal chances.
STABANNON PARNELLS: Anthony Briscoe; Alan Reynolds, Barry McCoy, Ryan Halpenny; Barry Lynch, Shane McCoy (0-1), David Cluskey (0-2); Derek Crilly, Niall Cluskey, Jake Corrigan; Bobby Butterly (0-1), Aonghus Giggins (0-1); Harry Butterly (0-6, 0-2 frees), Thomas McBride (0-1), Robert Callaghan (1-2). SUBS: Sean Reynolds (1-2) for Jake Corrigan, Dean Lynch for Aengus Giggins, Tadhg Carroll for Ryan Halpenny, Thomas Campbell for Derek Crilly, Stephen Barry for Alan Reynolds.
