Elephant to support Dani Larkin in Dundalk Gaol

Elephant, the musical vehicle of Dundalk based multi-instrumentalist Shane Clarke has just been announced as support for the upcoming Dani Larkin performance in the Oriel Centre, Dundalk Gaol on Saturday 29 April.

The works of Elephant wander from an instantaneous summery folk pop, reminiscent of Badly Drawn Boy and Elliot Smith, to more mature meandering pieces with a deliberate deconstructed nature, akin to Broken Social Scene, Justin Vernon or Joanna Newsom.

Elephant has rightly garnered much praise on the live front with his earnest vocal delivery and unique lyrical style capturing audiences and securing him performances with Martha Wainwright, BC Camplight and slots at most of the country’s top festivals including Electric Picnic, Body & Soul and Other Voices music trail.

With three critically acclaimed albums released since 2015, albums which have been described as a 5 Star "bittersweet masterpiece" by The Irish Times, Elephant is set to release a much-anticipated album later this year.

The acoustics and intimate, quirky settings of the Dundalk Gaol will showcase the extraordinary talents of Elephant and this performance is one that should not be missed by his loyal followers and anyone that has heard the tales of how uplifting his live performances are and want to experience it for themselves.

Limited tickets for Dani Larkin with support from Elephant are €18 and available from www.orielcentre.ie or from reception in the Oriel Centre.
