The St. Patrick’s Festival Committee in Dundalk has apologised for “the upset surrounding this year’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade,” while confirming that funding and other outstanding issues have now been resolved following a constructive meeting with Louth County Council, Dundalk Municipal District Councillors, Dundalk Credit Union, Dundalk BIDS, and the Dundalk Chamber of Commerce.

The theme for this year’s St. Patrick’s Festival in Dundalk is ‘A World of Imagination.’

In a statement the committee said:

“This theme celebrates creativity and imagination through music, art, dance, and storytelling, elements that are synonymous with St. Patrick’s Day and deeply rooted in our cultural identity.

“This year’s committee is made up of experienced event organisers, united by a shared ambition to showcase the incredible talent Dundalk has to offer. Together, we are committed to delivering St. Patrick’s Day celebrations that will be among the most colourful, inventive, and creative events the town has seen.

“We now call on our community and local businesses to invest in the place we all call home, whether by volunteering on the day or by taking part in the parade itself. Your involvement is vital to the success of the festival.
