Sean McDermotts GFC has announced that a candlelight vigil will take place this evening, Tuesday 18th November, at 7.30pm at the club’s pitch (A92 PF29).

The gathering has been organised as a moment of prayer, remembrance, and solidarity following the tragic death of five young people in a crash on the Ardee Road on Saturday night.

They were travelling in a Volkswagen Golf car which collided with a Toyota Landcruiser on the Ardee road at Gibstown, just outside Dundalk at around 9pm on Saturday.

The club is inviting the entire community to come together.

“All are welcome to attend, to remember, and to find support and comfort together,” the club said.
