Dundalk Institute of Technology (DkIT) is offering a multi-institutional Master of Business (MBS) in Responsible Entrepreneurship, commencing in September this year.

Funded by the HEA under DkIT’s REsPoNSE initiative (Responsible Entrepreneurship and the Promotion of Novel Approaches to Sustainable Enterprise), this Masters programme will be co-delivered by five leading Irish HEIs: DKIT, MTU, ATU, TUS & UCC and run for three-semesters (Sept 2025- Aug 2026), over a period of one year.

The course is aimed at level 8 graduates of any discipline and the college say that "the MBS in Responsible Entrepreneurship will help participating students become an entrepreneurial changemaker of the future. Participants in this programme will learn important skills for responsible business management or responsible new venture creation in areas linked to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The programme will prepare participants for one of two change-maker specialisation pathways: Running your Own Business or taking up a Responsibility Role in industry."

The fully-funded programme comprises of a two-day kick-off residential in Dundalk, six core modules and an elective (Industry Challenge Project or Incubation). It will be delivered in a hybrid format with in-person blocks at partner campuses, online engagement, and a timetable designed to work around participant commitments.

Nine fully funded places are available in each partner region (DkIT, ATU, MTU, TUS). Applicants from diverse academic backgrounds are welcome to apply.

Professor Colette Henry, Head of Department of Business Studies at DkIT said:

“We are delighted to be leading this new master’s programme, which provides a highly practical approach to Responsible Entrepreneurship. Students will benefit from real-world industry projects, virtual placements, responsible career coaching and industry mentoring. Participants will learn from award-winning entrepreneurship educators and regional and international guest speakers from industry.

"They will also have the opportunity to engage with our state-of-the-art on-campus incubator and SDG-focused research centres. This is an inclusive programme, and we welcome applications from anyone interested in hands-on, future-focused learning, designed to launch their career from day one.”
