Dundalk and District League Fyffes Premier Division

Faughart Rovers 0-4 Square United

A rare Saturday afternoon kick off saw the home side fall to a 4-0 defeat against a much better organised Square United. Arthur Sands scored a brace and gave notice that he intends to better the 10 strikes he posted last season.

Jack Dowdall also bagged a brace, double what he scored in the previous League season.

Muirhevnamor FC 3-2 Carrick Rovers

Muirhevnamor bounced back from their opening game defeat to Carlingford to record a hard-earned 3-2 win over Carrick in Gills Park.

Micky O'Kane put 'the Mor' ahead and looks like he will once again come close to last season's 21 strikes. Keith Harmon got his first of the season to record his side's second score.

A gusty Carrick side responded with two goals from Nathan Keenan and Joe Market, only to see Daniel Duffy strike close to full-time to secure all three points for the home side. Last season, Duffy netted eleven goals.

Rampart Celtic 0-4 Haynestown Celtic

After a shock defeat to newcomers Parkside in their opening game, Haynestown handed Rampart a four-goal drubbing to kick-start their season. They equalled the top score this season, four goals by Square, with this emphatic win.

Zakarai Ali found the net twice, with Destiny Eko and Mohamed Haji each scoring once. Mohamed equalled his total score last season with his late strike.

Parkside FC 2-8 Faughart Rovers

This goal feast saw the highest score by any team so far and the first hat-trick of the 2026 season.

The team based at the ‘Lumpers’ simply blew away the newest team in the league. Stephen McQuillan led the charge by netting the first trio of goals this term.

Oyewolf Bright, Fra Quigley, Chris Mullan, Peter McDermot and Lotachim Ehirze all chipped in with a goal apiece. Parkside scorers were Craig Jackson and Dylan Hack.

Top scorer: Stephen McQuillan - Faughart Rovers - 3 goals.
