Jonathon Deeny won the latest leg of the National Time and Flooring Autumn Series at Dundalk Golf Club, which was played over the October Bank Holiday weekend.

Playing off 19, he had a steady start with a three-point par at the first, followed by a one-point double bogey and a two-point bogey to leave him on six points after three holes.

A four-point par at the index one fourth kick-started his round, and he parred every hole after that to the turn to cover the front nine in an impressive 25 points, which was the gross equivalent of three over par.

The back nine wasn’t as impressive as he came home in 16pts thanks to three three-point pars, two two-point bogeys and three one-point double bogeys.

However, he had done more than enough on the front nine to take the overall victory with 41pts, which was three more than Brian Gaughran (13) in second place.

Paul Murphy (2) with 37pts took Division 1 and also recorded the best gross with 35pts. Division 2 was won by Sean Gallagher (12) with 37pts while Barry Rafferty (21) also shot 37pts on his way to winning Division 3, edging out incoming vice-captain Martin McDonnell.

The 2025 Club and IJM Scratch Matchplay presentation will take place in the Clubhouse at 2pm. All prize recipients are requested to attend.

The presentation will be preceded by a shotgun start 14-hole 4-person team event starting at 9.30am. The timesheet for this competition is now open.

Tickets are currently available at the Bar for the Play Your Cards Right event this Saturday in the Clubhouse.

This will be followed by the DGC Talent Night on Saturday, November 15 and the Captain Dinner on Friday, November 21. Captain Gerry McDermott's Dinner
