An unbeaten Rampart Celtic side needed a win to force a play-off, and Carlingford Celtic just needed to avoid defeat to clinch the title.
With the game tied at 1-1, up stepped Peter Shields with an 88th-minute winner to send the Carlingford line into raptures and seal the title.
The win adds a Premier Division title to Carlingford's Clancy Cup victory earlier in the season, and with the McConville Cup still to come, a treble is still on the cards for the peninsula side.
Thanks to league sponsors Fyffes and Brian Renaghan, who were on hand to present the trophy to Carlingford.
