The Dundalk and District Darts League (DDDL) held its Annual General Meeting last Thursday night, drawing an impressive attendance as players, supporters, and officials gathered to set the stage for another exciting season.
A new committee was elected on the night, with James Callan stepping into the role of Chairperson. He will be joined by Vice-Chairperson Kieran McNamee, Secretary Jack Riordan, and Vice-Secretary Padraic O’Rourke.

The financial side of the league will be overseen by Treasurer Kevin Soraghan and Vice-Treasurer Cian O’Rourke, while Aaron Lee takes up the position of Public Relations Officer. Rounding out the committee are Conor Dunn, Simon Wykes, Fintan Rogers, and Mark Flynn.
The meeting also marked the departure of three long-serving committee members: Peter Neary, Niamh Hinchey, and Aidan Thompson. Between them, they represented the backbone of the league’s administration for many years.
Their dedication, countless hours of work, and passion for darts in Dundalk were warmly acknowledged on the night, with a heartfelt thank you extended to each of them for their service.
In brighter news, the DDDL confirmed that Heineken will once again return as the league’s main sponsor for the coming season, a welcome boost that ensures strong support both on and off the oche.
Teams are reminded that fully completed registration forms, along with the relevant fees, must be returned to Kieran at The Punters no later than 8pm on Wednesday, September 17th.
With preparations firmly underway, the league is aiming to hit the ground running, with the opening fixtures scheduled for the first week of October.
