Louth Gardaí issue warning to Drogheda United fans

The warning follows enforcement action at Drogheda United’s first home fixture of the season

Louth Gardaí have issued a warning to supporters attending Drogheda United’s home fixture against Shelbourne on Friday night that illegal parking will not be tolerated in the vicinity of the club’s grounds.

In a statement issued in advance of the game, Gardaí said fixed charge notices will be issued to motorists found breaching the Road Traffic Act, particularly those parking on footpaths and double yellow lines.

Areas specifically highlighted include Crosslanes, Boglane, The Twenties, Boyle O’Reilly Terrace and Moneymore.

The warning follows enforcement action at Drogheda United’s first home fixture of the season, when more than 10 fixed charge notices were issued to vehicle owners who had parked illegally near the stadium.
