Speeding driver tests positive for cocaine and arrested by Dundalk Gardaí

A motorist has been arrested in Dundalk after testing positive for cocaine during a traffic stop.

The incident occurred yesterday when members of the Dundalk Roads Policing Unit stopped an Audi for speeding. Upon engaging with the driver, Gardaí conducted a roadside drug test, which returned a positive result for cocaine.

The driver was arrested and taken into custody.

In a statement on social media, An Garda Síochána – Louth said: "Dundalk Roads Policing Unit were on patrol yesterday when they stopped the driver of this Audi for speeding. Driver tested positive for Cocaine and was arrested."
