Tourism leaders gather in Carlingford to share strategies for growing visitor numbers

Registration open for Dundalk Chamber Cross Border Tourism Conference

This event will bring experts together from various Tourism projects around Ireland and abroad

Bookings are now open for a major tourism conference set to bring industry leaders, innovators and destination experts to the northeast this spring.

Hosted by the Dundalk Chamber of Commerce, the half-day conference, “Growing Your Visitors – Learning from the Best,” will take place on Wednesday, April 15, at the Four Seasons Hotel Carlingford from 8.30am to 2.30pm.Organized by Dundalk Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by An Táin Arts Centre, Irelands Ancient East, Louth County Council, Local Enterprise Office Louth, and The Marshes Shopping Centre.

This event will bring experts together from various Tourism projects around Ireland and abroad so that you can replicate it in your own business. There will be practical tips on how to improve your tourism business so you can increase your sales and boost attendance figures at your attraction!

Speakers at the event include:

  • Paul Hayes & Mary Claire Cowley – An Táin Arts Centre will discuss “Cultural Tourism & ARTful Partnerships”.
  • Olivia McCormack- Louth County Council will cover “Visit Louth, Tracks, Tales & Tourism”.
  • Grainne O’Connor -Cuilcagh Lakelands UNESCO Global Geopark will discuss “Regenerative Tourism & Cuilcagh Lakelands UNESCO Geopark- Celebrating Place, Heritage & Cross Border Collaboration”.
  • Rory King- Rorys Travel Club will discuss “The Power of Social Media, Email Marketing & Authenticity”
  • Raquel Naboa- Fifty Shades Greener will discuss “Every job is a green job”
  • Tina Novak Samec- Institute for Tourism, Culture, Youth and Sport Brda (Slovenia) will discuss From Borders to Bridges: Best Practices in Cross- Border Cooperation”
  • Pól Ó Conghaile- Travel Editor with the Irish Independent will cover the “Trends in Travel 2026!”

This half day event takes place on Wednesday the 15th April in the Four Seasons Hotel Carlingford from 8.30am to 2.30pm. There will also be a Tourism Advisory Clinic with exhibits from various tourism providers and local organizations.

The event is free to attend for Chamber members and €20 plus vat for non-members. Exhibition stands cost €100 plus vat.
