Local digital marketing agency ZOMA has announced the success of their second annual Daffodil Day fundraiser, exceeding their ambitious "1000KM for Daffodil Day" challenge and raising an incredible €16,023 for the Irish Cancer Society.

The rooftop of ZOMA’s Dundalk headquarters, located at 82 Park Street, was transformed into a vibrant hub of activity back in March as over 150 enthusiastic participants, representing local businesses, community groups, and individuals, took part in the cycling, rowing, and skiing challenge. Inspired by the distance between Dundalk and Paris, participants collectively pushed their limits on exercise machines, contributing to a significant fundraising total.

Building on the momentum of their successful 2024 event, which raised €12,777, the ZOMA team set an ambitious target this year, and the overwhelming support from the public and the local business community ensured they not only met but significantly surpassed it.

For every kilometre collectively reached by the participating teams, ZOMA pledged to donate €3 to Daffodil Day, a commitment that spurred participants to go the extra mile. The fundraiser also benefited immensely from the generous contributions of numerous local businesses, who donated significant amounts to support this vital cause.

"We are absolutely thrilled and deeply grateful for the incredible support we received for our '1000KM for Daffodil Day' challenge," said David Kieran, Managing Director of ZOMA. "To have raised over €16,023 is a tribute to the generosity and community spirit here in Dundalk and beyond. Seeing so many individuals and businesses come together on our rooftop to support the vital work of the Irish Cancer Society was truly heartening."

The event was filled with friendly competition, live entertainment, and refreshments. The competitive spirit was high as teams vied for the "Team of the Year" award and the €500 cash prize for the most distance covered in 15 minutes. The winning team, composed of Aidan Kieran, Gabriel Bell, Killian Staunton, and Stefan Pots, not only demonstrated impressive fitness but also exemplified incredible generosity by donating their entire prize back to the fundraiser.

The funds raised will directly support the Irish Cancer Society’s crucial work in providing free support services, information, and resources to cancer patients and their families across Ireland. Building on this year's achievements, ZOMA is committed to continuing their support for the Irish Cancer Society and is already looking forward to their 2026 Daffodil Day fundraiser.
