Formed officially just over a year ago, Ecstasy consists of four long-time friends and musicians

Rising Dundalk-based band Ecstasy will take centre stage at an upcoming local gig held at the renowned venue, The Spirit Store. Bringing their high-energy mix of original tracks and covers to fans in their hometown, Ecstasy continues to build momentum with their distinctive blend of influences from Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jimi Hendrix, and Fontaines D.C.

Formed officially just over a year ago, Ecstasy consists of four long-time friends and musicians: Eli (lead vocals), Seán (bass), Cian (guitar), and Malachy (drums). Their chemistry on stage has been sharpened through a string of local performances, including opening for Dundalk’s acclaimed band Just Mustard.

The show is scheduled for Saturday, October 18th, 2025, with doors opening at 7:00 PM. Tickets are available now for €10.00 plus booking fee via The Spirit Store ticket page.

Audiences can anticipate an electrifying set that blends soulful original songs with buzzing renditions of covers from favourites like Rory Gallagher, Jimi Hendrix, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Eli’s commanding voice, paired with Cian’s powerful guitar work, Seán’s rolling basslines, and Malachy’s hard-hitting drums, creates a sound that feels timeless yet fresh.

The night will also feature Dundalk’s own singer-songwriter Joshua King, who brings a unique fusion of spoken word and melodic lyricism inspired by local artists such as David Keenan and Jinx Lennon. With a growing presence in the local scene, King is working on new creative projects to be announced later in 2025.

"Headlining a gig at The Spirit Store feels like a milestone for us," said Eli, front man of Ecstasy. "We’ve grown so much over the past year, and we’re excited to share a night of energy, music, and community with Dundalk."
