The sixth edition of the Louth International Film Festival, in association with An Táin Arts Centre and Dundalk Institute of Technology (DkIT), starts tomorrow.
The festival will take place from Friday, September 5th to Sunday, September 7th.
County Louth has a long and rich history of arts, music, culture, and folklore and this festival is a celebration of that heritage, where contemporary visual storytelling is shared through the medium of film.
Investigative, thought-provoking, and innovative documentary, film drama, and animation—both feature-length and short-form—continue this tradition of storytelling, cultural exchange, and the sharing of ideas.
The Louth International Film Festival attracts a diverse audience, including members of the local community, film industry representatives, visiting filmmakers, students, and film enthusiasts from all walks of life.
Dundalk native and Hollywood director John Moore, speaking about the sixth edition, said: "Everyone is from somewhere, but we like to reach out to everywhere.
"Local film festivals do this—they bring the wide world to us all and add their own special local magic.
"Louth is a small county with a huge sense of magic, of history, of story. I wish them continued success with their world-class festival and will continue to support them and cheer them to the rafters."
Tickets: Full Festival Pass, which gives you access to everything over the three days for just €30 – saving you an average of €25!
Most individual tickets are €5, and there is also a number of free events.
