Thursday 27th February at 10pm - Fireside Sessions presents Gerry Maguire- Free Admission
Fireside Sessions—the cherished acoustic club known for its intimate, live performances by the fire—is thrilled to welcome back Gerry Maguire for another unforgettable evening.
A Dundalk native, Gerry has spent nearly 50 years writing, performing, and recording music.
Coming from a deeply musical family, he was inspired by his father and uncles, who were members of the renowned Benny Maguire Orchestra, a celebrated swing showband of the 1950s and ’60s.
Carrying on this rich legacy, Gerry carved out his own path as a singer-songwriter, forming a nine-piece band in the 1990s and performing his original music at legendary venues like Temple Bar Music Centre and Whelan’s.
Throughout his career, Gerry has collaborated with some of the industry’s finest musicians, including Chris McCabe, Bobby Robertson, Kevin Shields, the late Geno Berrills, Arty McGlynn, and Ritchie Buckley.
Yet, despite his remarkable journey, Gerry remains humble, believing in the simple yet profound power of music: "If one person connects with my songs, that’s all that matters."
After stepping away to focus on community projects—including securing funding for social housing in Dundalk—Gerry is returning to what he loves most, sharing his music.
Join us for a night of heartfelt songs and storytelling by the fire. The show starts at 9pm, and as always, admission is absolutely free!
