Martin Praetorius debuts in Toales on Friday night, May 2nd
Loads of great music is happening in Toale's Live Venue this weekend along with a pop-up Craft Fair on Saturday.
Thursday 2nd May - Fireside Sessions present Martin Praetorius plus special guest.
Fireside Sessions is an acoustic club that showcases the best in acoustic acts, always inside by the fire in the bar, always free admission, and is proud to welcome Martin Praetorius, who debuts in Toales.
In Ireland, where he has made his home for the past two years, Martin has been called “the German with the Irish heart” (David Dee Moore Radio Show).
The Essen, Germany born singer-songwriter is a troubadour in the truest sense of the word.
He has long been at home on the world’s stages, playing his music in Scandinavia, Ireland, England and Scotland, Europe, Greenland and the USA.
After several years of touring without a fixed base, he now spends most of his time in Ireland, connecting with folk and trad musicians alike, learning, collaborating and exploring.
With a keen sense of the situation, Praetorius fuses a unique blend of folk, Americana and Celtic influences into a larger framework and takes his listeners on a journey.
Although inspired by many of the great songwriters, and often sharing the stage with well-known acts from the international songwriting scene, Martin Praetorius presents his own style, singing short stories that aim point-blank, straight at the heart.
And there'll be a very special guest supporting... and all for free!!

Dundalk loves Dublin five-piece The Coathanger Solution, and what's not to love - grimy, filthy, irreverent Punk Rock, oozing with attitude, fantastic musicianship and catchy rock n’ roll hooks, with witty yet hard hitting lyrics from legendary front woman Klaire.
The Coathanger Solution have been going from strength to strength over the past few years of constant gigging around Ireland and are due to play their first UK gig in Blackpool this August.
Their debut album, which captures their vibe perfectly, is being launched on the night on vinyl and CD, while stocks last, and be warned, this album is selling fast!
Support on the night comes from three amazing punk bands - The Gakk, AHD and Fat Rabbit.
