Work officially began on the long-awaited new Louth GAA County Grounds in Dundalk. The first phase of the project, which includes the erection of the main stand and the laying of the new sand base, is now well underway.
When completed, the stadium will seat around 6,000 spectators, with plans to expand to a full capacity of 14,000 in the coming years.
Our photographer Arthur Kinahan was on site to capture the early stages of construction as the foundations of a new era for Louth GAA are quite literally being laid.
