Network Ireland Louth held its AGM and Christmas Dinner on Thursday 5 December in The Monasterboice Inn.
The event was attended by a large number of members who gathered to celebrate a very successful year. Outgoing President, Estelle Cotter, of Green Opal Media, was warmly acknowledged for her contribution to the network, and the members welcomed the incoming President, Nicola Connolly Byrne, who promised an action packed year in 2025.
Estelle thanked the committee for their support and dedication in 2024 and reflecting on the year she said: “It has been such an amazing year, in terms of learning and building connections. The events were designed to showcase the skills, products & services of many of our members and also to bring in external speakers to share their knowledge.”
Estelle proudly handed over the Chain of Office to Nicola Connolly Byrne who thanked the committee for “inviting me to become part of the most dynamic and talented team I have ever worked with – you guys are amazing”.
Nicola went on to say that “through our monthly in person events, I plan on providing the tools we all need to be proud of the services and products we provide and become more visible in the world. We owe it to ourselves and others to inspire the next generation of female entrepreneurs.”
Nicola introduced Pauline Clarke, of KooKee, as her Vice President for 2025, saying she chose her because she needed a vivacious, strong, and tenacious woman by her side who can think outside the box.
A raffle took place on the night with all proceeds going to The Birches Alzheimer Day Care Centre in Dundalk. Funds raised at the Awards night in June went to support Tredagh Lodge Alzheimer Day Care Centre in Drogheda. Outgoing President Estelle Cotter said that Network Ireland Louth was delighted to support Alzheimer care throughout the county in 2024.
