Friday 7th August - DIONYSUS + Ilisium + The Alice Sloan Band - Toales -Doors 7.30PM - Adm ONLY €7

Toales welcomes another strong night of emerging original music on Friday, August 7, with Belfast pop-rock outfit Dionysus joined by Ilisium and The Alice Sloan Band.

Four-piece headliners Dionysus formed in Northern Ireland and built their sound around the idea of losing yourself in the moment, moving between melodic, reflective passages and energetic rock.

Their debut single, “Slave for You,” explores the pull of giving in to feelings that are better left alone.

Also travelling from the Belfast scene are Ilisium, an up-and-coming act already attracting attention through live appearances and coverage from Northern Irish music platform Chordblossom.

Completing the bill is The Alice Sloan Band. The Bangor songwriter blends the darkness of ’90s grunge with modern alt-folk, soaring vocals and atmospheric arrangements. Her debut release, “Return The Ghost,” earned early BBC radio support and draws comparisons with the likes of Mazzy Star, The Velvet Underground and Jeff Buckley.
