Kilkerley Emmets 25 week lotto draw, week 14 had a Jackpot of €4,700 which was not won. Numbers drawn were: 3, 7, 15, 25. Summer Camp 2013

Irish Country Quads, Inniskeen are now taking bookings for Summer Camp 2013.

You have 8 weeks to choose from, commencing on Monday 1 July 2013.

Camp will run from Monday to Friday, 9.30am until 1.30pm and cost is €100 per child per week. Family discount available. Summer Camp activities are for children from 6 years old upwards. Activities include quad biking (every day), archery, air strike, action target, airsoft bell challenge, shuffleboard and a host of quad biking challenges. Kilkerley I.C.A.

At the recent A.G.M. the following changes have taken place: Kathleen Sharkey has been appointed as new President with outgoing President Margaret Mulholland acting as Vice President; Olive Sharkey continues as Secretary and Margaret Ryan has been appointed as new Treasurer replacing Katie Holland. The Guild thanked both Margaret and Katie for their hard work and dedication to I.C.A. Incoming President, Kathleen Sharkey, spoke about the importance of keeping the Guild alive and active and to this end she encouraged each member to try and recruit new members. She made particular mention of past members of the Guild and expressed the hope that they would consider rejoining. The Guild is always open and welcoming to new members and anyone wishing to know more about I.C.A. should contact Kathleen Sharkey at 042 9377270 or any member of the Guild. For anyone new in the Parish the I.C.A. Guild is a great way to meet and get to know people. The Annual Summer Outing to Newbridge takes place at the end of this month. Anyone interested in joining us should contact Kathleen - more details will follow. The Guild meet this Wednesday night June 5 in the Community Centre at 8.00pm.


The Committee of Kilkerley Badminton club greatly appreciate the continued support of all members this season resulting in a large increase in our membership and adding greatly to the enjoyment for all playing weekly. Dancing in Centre

Dancing in the Community Centre this Sunday night June 9 with music by Curtis Magee, Brian McDermott plays on June 16, Country Traditions on June 23 and J&S Sound on June 30. Dancing from 9.30pm to 12.30am.


The Club need adult female volunteer Leaders so if you are interested please contact the Club and full training will be provided. Activity for members each Friday night from 8.30pm in the Community Centre.

Fatima Pilgrimage

This Pilgrimage takes place from June 20 to June 27, 2013 costing €699 per person sharing, including all meals and insurance. Single room supplement €15 per night. Further details from Fr. Gerry Campbell PP.

Emmet’s GFC

Club lotto jackpot was €4,800 this week. The Sheelan Shield game against St Fechins resulted in a 1-12 to 0-8 defeat with the scores coming from Alan McGeough and Conal McEneaney 0-2 each, 0-1 for Sean Hand, Ciaran Clarke, Ciaran Bellew and Conal McGeough.. The rest of senior league games schedule is as follows – St Pats (A) on Saturday June 15 at 7.00pm, Martins (H), Cooley (A), Dreadnots (H), Sean O’Mahoneys (A), Mattock Rangers (H). The junior side won away to Annaghminnon on Tuesday of last week, 4-9 to 0-7 with Dan McKeown top scorer on 2-2, Cormac Bellew and Ciaran Clarke 1-0 each, James Shields 0-1, Ray Mulholland 0-3, Niall Lennon, Robbie Shields, Eamonn Kelly 0-1 each. They beat Stabannon on Friday last , and play at home to Hunterstown this evening Tuesday June 4, and are away to St Mochtas on Tuesday of next week at 8.00pm. The U-12 team are at home to St Fechins this Friday night June 7, and the minors are away to Clans on June 24 at 8.00pm. Summer Cul Camps take place in Kilkerley and Knockbridge from July 22 to July 26 and in Roche from July 29 to August 2. In total there will be 23 camps in Louth this year commencing July 1 and end Friday August 16. More coaches are needed and anyone interested in coaching can download an application form the County Website..


The Indoor Bowling season has now ended in most Clubs. Kilkerley Club competitions confined to Club members have all concluded over the past

few weeks with results from the finals as follows:-Singles:- Peter Rust defeated Donal Quigley. Ladies Singles:- Kitty Sharkey defeated Anne Murphy. Juvenile Singles:- Neil Mulholland defeated Darren Litchfield. Pairs:- Jim Rafferty & Neil Mulholland beat Donal Quigley & Darren Litchfield. Triples:- Peter Rust, Alice Lennon & Anne Murphy beat Jim Rafferty, Sean Duffy and Peadar Cassidy. Another Juvenile player, Gearoid Cronin reached the quarter-finals of the Singles but was beaten by Jim Rafferty. Others who played well during the Singles League included Tommy Woods, Leo Tennyson, Tom Mc.Creesh, Gerry McElroy and Tom Mulholland. Indoor Bowls will resume in September but for those who wish to play during the Summer months there are “Fun Bowls” every Tuesday night in Redeemer Centre, Dundalk. Outdoor Bowls are played weekly at Garaban,
