National Clean Up Day

Knockbridge Tidy Towns would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to all members of the local community who helped last weekend to clean up all the approach roads to the village and the village itself, to the pupils of St Mary’s N.S. and teaching staff for their kind support for the annual event which was extremely successful. Great to see so many people of all age groups out working together for the common good of our local community. It is true to say that children from the age of four to individuals in their 80’s was the order of the morning. Thank you one and all. Great to work with so many people, the craic was along the route was brilliant and the work got done at the same time. Sad though to see just how much rubbish and litter was collected on our roads.

Voluntary Work

Thank you to Barry Scanlon for his all his voluntary input as an electrician over the past few weeks at Stephenstown Pond. Nice to see that one of our younger members of the community gives of his time voluntary to our own award winning Stephenstown Pond. Thank you very much Barry from all the gang at “the pond”. Much appreciated.
