The Elf Post Office at Skypark Adventure Lights
Adventure Lights at Skypark Carlingford is open across the Twixmas period and running right through to January 3rd, making it the perfect festive excuse to get outdoors, breathe in the fresh air, and let the kids burn off the selection boxes.
This year’s brand-new Elf Post Office has been a runaway hit, with little visitors sending Santa their all- important wish lists.
And once that the man in red has done his bit, the Skypark elves are keeping the doors open, inviting families back to write thank-you letters so children can stay firmly on the Nice List for 2026.
With over 500,000 lights, glowing forest scenes, a train ride, the illuminated Legends of the Forest trail, and the ever-popular Skynet at Night bounce nets, Adventure Lights has transformed Skypark into one of Ireland’s standout winter attractions.
It’s bigger, brighter, and bursting with festive magic right across Twixmas.

“We’ve been blown away by the response this year, both locally and from visitors travelling from further afield,” said Edward Fuller, General Manager at Skypark.
“The Elf Post Office has brought a whole new layer of magic. Kids loved sending their wish lists, and now they can return to write a little thank-you.
“We’ll make sure Santa gets every single one!”
Following last year’s debut, which welcomed almost 30,000 visitors, Adventure Lights has once again drawn huge crowds and delivered a welcome boost to the Cooley Peninsula.
This year’s trail is packed with magical moments, from the illuminated icons of Ireland’s Ancient East Maze and the star-lit bounce nets of Skynet at Night to shimmering tunnels, glowing sculptures, and forest scenes along the Magical Light Trail.
Families can follow hidden riddles, enjoy an expanded Kids’ Zone full of colour and play, and refuel with crêpes, doughnuts, pizzas, and s’mores, with free face painting adding an extra splash of magic for little adventurers.
“We’re delighted to bring the magic back to Carlingford,” said Thomas McArdle, CEO of McArdle Adventure Group.
“Adventure Lights is becoming a real Christmas tradition for families across Ireland, and it’s fantastic to see the Cooley Peninsula buzzing with festive visitors throughout December and into January.”
With the final dates now booking up fast, visitors are encouraged to secure tickets early, especially for the Twixmas period and the final few days before January 3rd.
Adventure Lights is proudly supported by Fáilte Ireland and Louth County Council.
