That blend gives his songwriting a grounded, soulful tone enriched by the modern artists he continues to absorb and learn from.

Onstage, he brings an easy confidence, pairing honest lyrics with melodies that feel both familiar and new.

Support comes from Dundalk’s own Peter Rafter, who sets the tone for the night with a thoughtful acoustic set built around his curated collection of blues covers.

His warm delivery and relaxed style give these songs a fresh edge, offering a comfortable, inviting start to the evening.

Together, Joshua King and Peter Rafter promise a night that celebrates great songwriting, local talent, and the spirit of the Fireside Sessions.

If you’re near Dundalk on Thursday 27th November, drop into Toales for 9PM. No tickets, no barriers—just quality music waiting to be heard.

Friday 28th November – Stoat + The Dundalk Dolls + Alice Robinson - Admission €10 - Doors 8pm.

Toales Live Venue celebrates the eclectic, the melodic, the joyfully unpredictable and most importantly the original — featuring Stoat, The Dundalk Dolls, and Alice Robinson.

Headlining the night are Veteran Irish act Stoat, one of Ireland’s most inventive and entertaining live bands.

Known for their genre-blending sound that fuses indie-pop with hints of ska, sea shanty, and rock, Stoat deliver a show that’s as funny as it is musically sharp.

Expect witty lyrics, infectious hooks, and the kind of foot-stomping energy that’s made them a cult favourite for fans of They Might Be Giants and XTC.

In just two years, The Dundalk Dolls have carved out an impressive path, releasing a series of critically acclaimed singles and a debut album that showcase their evolving sound.

With expertly crafted songs, soaring harmonies, and heartfelt lyrics, they’ve won a devoted following both in Dundalk and across Ireland.

Opening the night is Alice Robinson, a Louth-based alternative singer-songwriter whose music is full of overwhelming, stirring emotion.

Flowing with twinkling hooks and soaring, cinematic vocals, Alice and her band are driven by a subtle, haunting power and a grandiose, ethereal aura.

Unapologetically authentic and laced with dark humour, her performances drift from tender melodic lines to dissonant cries of suppression and resistance, captivating audiences from first whisper to final surrender.

This night promises to be an unforgettable evening of original music — a showcase of Ireland’s vibrant independent scene in Toales Live Venue, where creativity, energy, and individuality take centre stage.

This show marks a milestone for Lapdog, who headline the night with the launch of their debut single.

Expect a set that’s charged, atmospheric, and fully geared toward celebrating this new release.
