The Bród, The Bold & The Beautiful coming to An Táin

Celebrate Pride month with a raucous new comedy drama from Quintessence Theatre.

Inspired by true stories of Irish members of the LGBTQ+ community, The Bród The Bold, & The Beautiful graces the main stage of An Táin Arts Centre on 27th & 28th June at 8pm.

The Bród, The Bold, & The Beautiful is an original, raucous new comedy drama spanning 30 years of Irish LGBTQ experience and exploring the challenges and joys of living as a young LGBTQ+ person today.

Using their innovative physical ensemble storytelling techniques, An Táin Arts Centre’s former Theatre Company in Residence, Quintessence Theatre, examine and celebrate the lives of three LGBTQ people: each born into a different generation, and each navigating new and ongoing issues of prejudice, pride, identity, love and legacy.

Director of An Táin Arts Centre Paul Hayes said: “From being our inaugural theatre company for four years to touring the country with major productions, Quintessence have established themselves as one of the most vital theatre companies working in Ireland today.

“We are delighted to support their latest production which I know will delight our audiences.”

The Bród, The Bold & The Beautiful is presented by Quintessence Theatre & Outcomers LGBT Support Service, in association with An Táin Arts Centre and supported by Louth County Council.

The Bród, The Bold & The Beautiful is at An Táin Arts Centre 27th and 28th June at 8pm.

Tickets €18 (plus €1.50 booking fee per ticket) and €16 concession (plus €1.50 booking fee per ticket) and can be purchased from An Táin Arts Centre’s Box Office on Crowe Street, over the phone on 042 9332332 or online at www.antain.ie
