Creative Spark said it is excited to host a photo documentary project, "Faces of Fusion," by Rochelle Lazaro at the Downtown Hub on Clanbrassil Street Dundalk.

The exhibition will run for two weeks, commencing tomorrow, Friday March 8th with an official opening event at 6pm.

"Faces of Fusion" is a powerful campaign developed as part of the AGENCY: Vote with Her project, aimed at enhancing the understanding of over 60 women with migrant backgrounds across Europe about EU processes.

These women have actively engaged with projects to promote migrant women's political participation, particularly in the context of the 2024 European Parliament elections.

Supported by funding from the European Union, AGENCY: Vote with Her is a joint initiative led by the European Network of Migrant Women and FemLens.

Through "Faces of Fusion," Rochelle sheds light on the vibrant lives of migrant women in Ireland and their significant role in political participation.

The exhibition showcases a collection of photographs, offering viewers a glimpse into the diverse experiences and perspectives of migrant women in Ireland.

"I am delighted to present 'Faces of Fusion' at the Creative Spark Downtown Hub," says Rochelle Lazaro.

"This photo documentary project is about amplifying voices, raising awareness and fostering a deeper understanding of the contributions of migrant women to our society."

Rochelle Lazaro is a migrant woman living in Dundalk since 2008, originally from the Philippines.

She is currently working as a Marketing Manager for an educational publisher and serves as a Board Director for AkiDwA, a charity organisation advocating for and providing support for migrant women living in Ireland.

She volunteers for St. Patrick’s Parish Soup Kitchen/Food Parcels and Dundalk Dog Rescue.

People are invited to attend the opening reception of "Faces of Fusion" at the Creative Spark Downtown Hub on March 8th at 6pm.

Admission is free, and all are welcome to enjoy some nibbles and drinks.
