Wednesday night will be cold with showers mainly affecting Munster, Leinster and east Ulster, a few of them wintry on hills.
Longer drier periods further west with clear spells. Lowest temperatures of -1 to 4 degrees, coldest over the western half of the country with frost and icy patches possible.
